ICW Fear and Lothian Preview

Newer fans of ICW might not know that Dave's Not Here Man was not ICWs first Edinburgh Invasion. That was Tramspotting back in February of this year and that wis the only ICW event I've missed since my first ICW show at Super Smokin Thunderbowl last year. Know whit else Tramspotting happens tae be for me personally? my biggest fuckin regret mate. Keeps me up at night so it does. Wolfgang has been my favourite ICW wrestler since I started gaun and I missed the big yin taking the Zero-G Belt fae Andy Wild. In a match some folk have described as one of the best they've seen in ICW. I also missed Kaylee Ray getting launched intae the crowd like a fuckin lawn dart by Mikey Whiplash, in one of the most death defying spots I've ever seen(when I seen it weeks later on youtube) so where better tae start the preview than the match that re-visits that

Mikey Whiplash vs Kaylee Ray

Since Kayle broke free of the spell Mikey had her under, there's been tension between the pair. Kaylee freed herself of some of that tension by hitting hurricanranas on the poor cunt aff the top rope, and after doing that at 2 shows in a row, yer Whippy got wise tae at Tramspotting. Caught the poor lassie and launched her for fuckin miles. A genuinely frightening bump. Outcome wise I've nae idea whit tae expect from this one. Obviously in a straight up fight, Whippys size wid be too much, but I have a feeling we could see some hi-jinks engineer a win for Kaylee. Regardless, we're gonnae see some inter-gender carnage, and for once that isnae a reference to Whippys tranny gimmick.

Grado vs Dickie Divers

Is Gradomania alive and well? or will he come oot like a broken man tae Mankinds auld music? gibberin aboot how he "didnae see the NAKmobile comin" nae bumbag, nae hat, nae fuck all. A burst Grado. Cannae see that happening though, yer man will stroll oot with his usual gallusness and work an entertaining wee match wae the bold Divers. Divers in the NAK just fuckin works for some reason. Maybe its that look on his face that seems tae indicate he knows something you don't, or mibbe its the fact that hes an interfering wee bastard when it comes tae matches involving his NAK brothers, but aye. It works. BT Gunn will get involved here I reckon, and either Wolfgang will make the save, or BTs interference will lead tae Divers getting the win.

Bete Noire vs Carmel Jacob

Ah Carmel. Lassie is just killin it right now. Every promo I'm glued tae, and her in-ring work is as proficient as ever. Bete Noire took a stoater of a shot wae the belt at Fear and Loathing, proving beyond doubt that she has a cast iron skull. No wantin tae tell the bold Carmel how tae go about her business, but I'd avoid being heidered at all costs. I reckon Carmel gets a second ICW win in a row, since its her home turf and she's got all this momentum on her side.

Team CK vs The Bucky Boys

Ye get the impression that a section of the ICW crowd think Team CK are shite. As characters and wrestlers. Those folk probably haven't seen the match they had with the NAK in Maryhill, or the wee promo the boys cut at the ABC, so if you're one of those folk, I'd suggest ye get that promo watched right noo. The boays are hilarious, and Maryhill proved beyond doubt that they are both excellent wrestlers. For me their match wae the NAK rivals some of the best tag matches I've seen this year. The Buckys always deliver so this will be fuckin braw. Potential MOTN. Team CK were getting a lot of support fae the crowd at Maryhill anaw, so it'll be interesting tae see if James R Kennedys charges get another face pop. Know whit wid definitely re-affirm their heel status but? If they hit Grado wae a motor then came oot tae his music. Only thing I've ever seen mare heely than that wis when Teddy Long crossed the referees picket line in the 90s. Support yer peers Teddy ffs, ye cannae just make tag matches aw the time. There needs tae be mare strings tae yer bow. Anyway aye, away on a tangent there but I reckon The Buckys will get the win. Unless we get some interference fae yer Fight Club or suhin, very possible since they aren't on the card at present.

Joe Coffey vs James Scott

Aye. If yer no intae this match, yer wired wrong. In terms of performance levels in the ring, theres no one better in Scotland right now than Joe Coffey. His match wae Rampage Brown at SWA was a proper old school heavyweight battle, and then the very next night he worked a stoater of a technicial wrestling exhibition wae Robbie Dynamite. James Scott is another hugely talented performer, if yer intae yer suplexes, MMA stuff and the odd GORE! yer intae James Scott. A wee interesting element tae this is the potential for a face turn somewhere. If ye ask me James Scott has been gradually turning face for a while, but I widnae bother askin me cause I've no got a fuckin clue whit I'm on aboot 90% of the time. Another one I'm unsure of outcome wise, but I will predict tae ye that this WILL be match of the night, and if it isnae....well it'll be another match obviously...but aye. This'll be rerr. Have tae slightly favour Joe Coffey cause he's been on the receiving end of a strong singles push lately. Hopefully the match is good enough tae justify booking it a few more times anaw. We'd aw be the winners oota that scenario.

Lionheart and Red Lightning sign new contracts

Aye this'll go off without a problem eh? will it fuck. This might be the start of a belter of a feud between these two. Red Lightning teasing the face turn, before turning roon and attacking Lionheart at this show would be the mark of a true heel. Or mibbe we'll get a wee swerve, with Lionheart accepting a handshake fae Red, before scudding Reds jaw. Unfortunately this contract signing will mark the end of the "fan in zipper" gimmick for Lionheart, but that just means theres nothing tae fear if ye see someone loitering at ringside wae a zipper on. He's just a fan that likes zippers. But aye. shenanigans will ensue here. Nae danger.

Mark Coffey vs Noam Dar (Zero-G Title Match)

As delighted I am tae see these two face each other, I wis a wee bit surprised Andy Wild didnae get this match since he beat Noam in dubious circumstances at Fear and Loathing. Noam was due a title shot when Wolfgang had the belt though, only for burst shooder syndrome to put that on the back burner. Make nae mistake about it, Mark Coffey is a man to be feared in ICW these days. Yer man knocked lumps oota the bold Solar and that was after beating ICW Champ at the time Mikey Whiplash clean in their Zero-G Title match at There's Something About Maryhill. I'm Noam daft, but  cannae see Marks push being de-railed so quickly so for me he wins here. Cleanly tae. Noam will be back for another shot soon enough, and he's actually my bet for the Square Go this year, so I could see him at the top end of the card before long. Too good no tae be.

Jack Jester vs Chris Renfrew (ICW Title Match)

Could the Jack Jester era be a false dawn? is this the true arrival of the NAK era? they've killed Gradomania, won and defaced the tag belts, and conquered the Gold Label all in the space of a few short months. Is it inconceivable that they could turn Jester realising his dream of becoming ICW champ intae a nightmare? I'll no lie, I like the idea of a heel faction being booked so strong, but I think Jester is due a good run wae the belt so good will prevail over evil here. Maybe. I dunno man, but cunts will batter each other most likely, so that's no bad eh? we like that. I reckon Jester keeps the belt, but not without receiving a brief but vicious doing aff the NAK boys.

Solid card. Yer man Dr Sean David is aff his nut to be crying these a B Show. Only thing we're missing is a Wolfgang match, and sadly, there's still nae sign of Jackie Polo returning to ICW, but theres plenty tae keep yer lower regions sufficiently moist here. Still tickets available anaw, so shift yer erse tae Embra fur the wrestling. Joe Hendry will be there n he's in a band n aw sorts, so whit makes you better than that? exactly. Mon tae the wrestling.
